My dad has an Astra which has a common fault whereby if the car isn't used for a week, the battery is fully drained and the car won't start. Usually I can use jump leads, but the last time I tried they didn't resolve the issue. Hence the purchase of this item. Hooked it up, the start light lit up, the car started straight away. As can be seen in the picture, the battery only used 5% of its charge. Fantastic, just hope it lasts for many years.

The jump start pack is well made and I've (sucessfully) used it twice to jump start a car with a dodgy battery. It does what it says on the tin, and the added features (torch, power bank function) are handy too.

Perfect car jump starter. It comes with Cigarette lighter extension which is very helpful to run the tyre inflator when required. Must have for DIY'ers.

Small and mighty...

Gives peace of mind about lack of 12 volt battery. I check on it's charge occasionally but it stays in the boot of our electric car just in case...

Excellent bit of kit

Fantastic bit of kit. My battery died and stopped holding a charge. I did a parasitic draw test which demonstrated that nothing was excessively draining the battery, so I put in claim under the 3 year warranty, but in order to get the replacement I needed to start the car. I purchased this item based on the number of reviews and the rating, and it's proved to be a good investment. Before I could get to the garage I needed to do some shopping. The item came with a charge of 87%, so I charged it up to 99% and then went to start the car. On connecting the two jump leads the boost charger reported E6 and beeped, signifying the poor state my battery was in. Holding the Boost button down the timer cane up giving me 30 seconds to start the car. It started straight away and the screen on the booster displayed 97% ! On the return journey there was no need to place the booster into boost mode, just connect and start. Again, the booster had only dropped a few percent to 89%.

I don't think I need the flashing lights or the need to charge a phone from the additional sockets, but for starting a card with an extremely flat battery (only read 7v so a few damaged cells) its excellent.
